At times, there are mountains that the Lord asks us to climb that we think would be better left alone due to the natural agenda we feel our lives should follow. About 7 months ago, I discovered that I had mono. A really ultra bad case of it. If you know me, then you know I don’t have the word “stop” anywhere on my life’s list. After multiple alarming episodes of hearing loss, tunnel vision and confusion that the doctors couldn’t explain away, I realized that it was time to slow down and reevaluate what was really important. I would love to say that everything is back to normal but it seems I now have chronic Epstein Bar virus to keep me at a slower pace indefinitely. For sure, “…all things work together for good for them who love the Lord who are the called according to HIS purpose.” A few things I know for sure, after much praying these last few months: my husband and children are top priority, the Lord can handle my troubles better than I can, everything in moderation…including photography!
Needless to say, I’ve been forced to step back a bit from my business to take care of myself and get back into some sort of functionality. It has given me endless opportunity to visualize personal projects that I have been putting off. Here is the first of many, my sweet little Chloe! In unpacking boxes that my mother gave me when downsizing, I discovered a dress she had made for me that had been one of my absolute favorites, considering that “Little House on the Prairie” was my all time favorite show at the ripe age of 4. It was a bit big for Chloe at the time so we had to wait an entire year for this session. It was well worth the wait…I hope you enjoy these pics of my sweet ray of sunshine!

Thank you! Poor Chloe was literally dripping with sweat and her hair was completely wet by that last photo. She was getting fussy too but still let me squeeze in a few more poses! She really is a sweet heart! The last two are my absolute favs too!
