  • Welcome to my world!

YUP! I'm a mom and I'm totin' my camera and I'm PROUD of it!! After years of creating and learning and recreating and getting ahead of technology so I could create, learn and create some more, I found myself ready to branch out into a business where I could share my creativity with others. Just consider me obsessed...a passionate creative who is completely obsessed with the notion that beauty is alive and I have only to peek through my lens to see it...everywhere and in everyone!!
I hope to see you here often as I do my best to post new content weekly or more!! You won't want to miss the new categories I have planned such as photography tips for hip moms (you're a hip mom whether you know it or not!) and local small business features. Lots of new plans are in the mix and you won't want to miss a single post!
Be sure to like me on facebook for even more fun updates and photos and a (soon to come) behind the scenes look at what I do...or don't

Ms. Rigney

There is no better way to feel cozy and warm on a drizzly, cold and blustery day than to spend it inside a warm cozy house with a newborn.  I thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent with mommy and baby!  The newborn days go by way too quickly and I’m always so honored to be a part of the memories made.

Jamie, you have a gorgeous baby that I know you are going to enjoy loving on through the years.  You are a wonderful mother!  Here are just a few of my favorites-I had to stop myself from putting too many up!!!  Hope you enjoy them as I have been!

Kansas on the run

While we had a great time in Kansas just a couple short weeks ago, it was FILLED with activity! I thought we might actually rest a bit while we were there, but I soon discovered that I was being naive and craziness is bound to follow me where ever I go!!! One of the highlights from the trip was the photo session with my SIL her husband and all 4 of my adorable nieces and nephews!  Here is her GORGEOUS family…and I already miss them all so much!

A smile in the rain

Wow!  What a wet, dreary, soggy, soaking, cloudy, rainy (got the picture yet?) week(s) we have had!  Well, it just so happens that Jamie and I had scheduled her maternity session on probably THE rainiest of all the rainy days.  After several calls back and forth to each other, we finally decided that indeed we would have to reschedule and hope for a better day.  No sooner had we decided that when a touch of brightness started shining through the gloom.  One MORE phone call later, we were back on again for our session, lol!  I must pause for a moment and say that flexible clients are the most hugest blessings EVER!  We did end up having a good time, and yes, we even got rained on a bit!!!  Here are a just a few of my very favorites…as promised!!!

I’m just busting at the seams to show you the rest of your gallery, Jamie!!  You and your family were a delight to spend time with, not to mention completely gorgeous!  I am looking forward to the call that your little one has arrived.  You ARE a wonderful mother and your new little one is blessed with such a family as yours.

Thank you for the sneak peek! I can’t wait to see the rest. You picked such a beautiful place to do the shoot at. And you are so talented! Thank you so much!

Rainy days and freedom

Oh, the rainy days of summer when a mommy sends all the rules out the window and the kids right after! I happened to be out looking for a wet and dripping spider web to photograph when I heard a raucous of squealing and giggling children. My first reaction was to holler all those crazy kids inside, until I realized I was dripping wet and perfectly fine (I’d love to say I was melting which I’m sure I would have had I stayed out just one minute more). I figured THIS was the day the kids were going to have a blast in the rain and I was going to capture it!

looks like they had a lot of fun!

Family Time

A new baby is always a good excuse to call a photographer and I must admit that they are one of my favorite calls to get! Little baby “L” was exactly 8 weeks old when I made it out for her family’s session; I was thinking she’d be too big to sleep for any of the pictures, but I was quite wrong! In fact, it was one of those sessions that gives you extreme satisfaction even before you ever download the photos and take a peek! Here’s the rundown for what I think makes up a perfect session: Great natural light, a beautiful (and happy) family, a sleepy baby, and did I mention GREAT NATURAL light???!!! Put all those things together, and there you have what we got at this family session! I get warm and fuzzy just looking at these knowing what a great time I had with this family…

Thanks ,Bowles family, for a great time Saturday and for letting me completely take over your house!!
